yes y have tge same problem the back and front light dont light updijkie wrote:little update on my controller;
DO NOT use one of the 5V lines to supply the lighting !
it pulls down the line to below 3,7V, which causes the controller to become unreliable. It drives bad.
when lighting disconnected, it drives fine, so i have to find other solution for lighting power.
There is a Light connector on this controller ( black/yellow cable ) but it burned my frontlight, now have to find replacement frontlight.
Lights are LED, these need constant current.
This controller deliveres 20W, approx 500mA, this was too high for the device lights.
Have to find current limiter, now thinking about solution.
meassured max ratings, if i go higher, it shuts down the Lighting power line ;

the 1000W version
made 1km trip, no problems so far
unit is 43mm, but has room to flex off the top, so it should fit the footboard..

colors of the wires are same, but different allocation in the connector.
Does the motor speed change when you select another "gear" ?
number of magnets and wheel size set correctly ?
for the Hall sensor, i don't know if another controller/manufacturer uses the same wire colors for same related functions.
worth to try a different color, this is also related to the speed seen on the display.
