So yeah I know I need a new controller board and I have already been looking into it (link below), my biggest concern is the battery management and charging. I know the old controller had the charger port connected to it as well as the battery and the smaller red and black ones. I know the thicker red and black are the main power but can someone tell me what they're for and if I will need to buy a battery protection circuit. Any advice would be grateful on any part of this post.
