I'm trying with the idea of acquiring another nine bond max battery and opening mine up to wire the new pack in parallel with the existing pack. Would I need to do anything aside from this to double my range?

I apologize if there are already threads about this, I did a quick search and could not find anything that answered this particular question..

Personally I wouldn't 'open up' anything. Just get a soldering iron, handful of batt plugs and heat shrink. I would build myself a little y cable/harness between the two packs and the ESC....word?

All you need is a parallel y adapter from Amazon. You don't have to open your battery to do this. It's pretty straightforward,just make sure both batteries are fully charged before you connect them together.

Should probably mention the y adapter needs to have xt-60 plugs on it. Incase you didn't know.
