You warned you're going to have issues with the stock firmware and battery over time. There is a company in Los Angeles and a few other states that got a fleet of these for free from spin. They worked good for a few months and then started having firmware issues and bugs since they were donated they had no obligation to do any kind of updates or give any firmware. They were pretty much dumped and we're giving away so that they can be replaced with a better model of some kind. Company I work for now supplies this business with our own Segway Max Plus models. The model that they got from spin was completely disposed of and scrapped in the end as they had too many issues your best using a aftermarket controller to get the best results with these I've got my personal one doing 24 mph since they were throwing majority of them in the trash I kept one for myself

Currently they work fine, and I consider it a learning curb regarding issues and glitches. I think anyone who bought them at auction for ~$100+ are more for personal use, and in comparison to current market on personal store bought scooters I think it’s a good/break-even value…even if it’s for re-sale over time.

For me they’re primarily for fun around my neighborhood and San Francisco, so I’m okay with the tinkering…as long as I get my monies worth scooting around town I’m good.

Did you replace the controller to achieve 24mph? Or?

Thanks!
