Unfortunately, this sounds like the all-too-common issue that the ES line always inevitably hits. Happened to my personal ES4 just a month after buying it, and the “solution” is to buy an external light and give up on the built-in one. Unless you’d rather replace the whole $60-or-so controller, only to have the issue eventually happen again.
