Anyone know if I can use the original OEM segway ninebot charger with the bird one / model 590?
https://www.amazon.com/Ninebot-Official ... 07T5N5Q6P/
Code: Select all
https://www.amazon.com/Ninebot-Official-Charger-Electric-Scooters/dp/B07T5N5Q6P/
Charger says 42v, 1.7a.

I'm a little bit afraid of buying a chinese charger that might create a fire so would rather stick w/ a high quality charger.

10-4! Wired up the sensors and it wouldn't go, I had a stray white wire hooked up somewhere thinking it was part of the Hall plug lol, took me a minute but once I disconnected that and put it in learn mode I think the controller figured out the number of magnets on it's own. Before the Hall it was making a weird noise and would kind of gimp out-ish? Running ok now! Need to mount the controller and figure out the brake! Jumped the blue and black for the speed plug and it's running at max now which isn't too bad, no speed run yet.
Can't wait to hear how the 500w does!
Had some issues with the 500W - I ordered one with 3-speed control, cruising etc. They sent me the simplest one, without any of the options I need. I may disassemble the controller box and try to solder some wires for the other functions. (If I have'em on board).
Hope to have time later today.
Cheers

Anyone know if the Bird One (model 590) battery is 10s4p or 10s3p? is there anyway to calculate using the capacity of 12800mah?

Anyone understand why this guy is bypassing the BMS on the bird one battery?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2yDxYp ... e=youtu.be

My scooter/motor works just fine without bypassing the BMS? if anything it makes it more dangerous right? because you are potentially drawing more current then you should from the battery and also removing its overcharging protection and battery charge balancing?

speed is very fast -- 25mph. Wondering what the purpose of the BMS bypass is... ( i haven't done it yet)

What controller are you using? I can't get anything more than 16 off the basic 350w controller!
