I’m not sure if our controllers are the same, but my 36V 350W 13A controller that just blew out had this diagram with it.
I’m not sure if they’ll match up exactly, but some of the wires on it look similar.

Hard to see from that awesome picture you took. But normally you will have a single thin red wire and that's what needs battery voltage to turn on the controller. If you have a switch just wire from the single red up to the switch and then back down to the battery positive. Otherwise if you hook it up directly to the battery it's on all the time and the battery needs to be unplugged to turn off.

Never seen a purple key switch wire. Always red but sometimes yellow.
