Hey guys,

I've been trying to piece together a scooter from spare parts, but I think I 've reached the limit my tinkering can achieve.

After much turmoil, I've got the controller powered, motor and throttle wired up, and can even spin the wheel for a few seconds.

Problem is:
  • 1. The motor only spins for a few seconds then cuts out.
    2. It's stuck on the first speed setting.
The controller is actually for an e-bike:

I managed to get it to power up by twisting together the tx, rx, etc. wires:

Throttle is wired into controller directly:

Anyone know how I could set it to the highest speed setting without a dashboard?

And anyone know why the motor cuts out after a few seconds?

Cheers guys :D
